Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)

By Stephenie Meyer

A group of teens are trapped in an old motel with a murderer in this chilling YA mystery by New York Times bestselling author April Henry.

Nell has always wanted to be an actor, but she doubts her ability. As a member of her school's theater program, she prefers working backstage. On the way to a contest, an unexpected blizzard strands her acting troupe in a creepy motel. Soon they meet a group of strangers from another high school--including the mysterious and handsome Knox, who insists they play the game Two Truths and a Lie. When it's Nell's turn, she draws a slip of paper written in unfamiliar handwriting:

I like to watch people die.
I've lost count of how many people I've killed.

Suddenly a night of harmless fun turns into a matter of life and death. As guests go missing, it becomes clear that a murderer is hiding in their midst ready to strike again. In a room full of liars and performers, the truth is never quite what it seems. Nell is going to have to act like her life depends on it--because it does.

The first book was the best in the series really just because everything was fresh and new. Loved it.

I love the twilight series. Books much better than the films. Real page turners!

The characters are are awesome and the book is written in a way that really allows you to imagine where the characters are and the feelings they go through!

I did enjoy this book, however it sometimes made me cringe and was very dramatic. despite that it was enjoyable and i’m excited to see what happens next

Okay, so obviously this isn’t really my first time reading twilight, and obviously my nostalgic love for the series has to make my rating seem less absurd, right?

I have not read twilight in over 10 years, but I wanted to reread it so that I can get all the joy from Midnight Sun when I read it later. Having said that, THIS BOOK IS SO FUN. Is Bella v obnoxious? ABSOLUTELY. Is Edward low key an overly possessive rat? Sure. Is their relationship more than a little toxic? 100%. Having said all of that this book is so fun and there were so many details I completely forgot that I’m v here for it. (Will I cry in the beginning of New Moon like I did back in the day? TBD)
