I didn’t hear many things about this book when I picked it up, but I still gave it a chance. Im happy I did because it didn’t disappoint.. for the most part. I’ll explain. It’s a romance thriller. Fluffy love, forbidden love. All 3 books in the series included in one, which I was personally happy about because the cliff hangers in books 1&2 were killing me. After reading Verity, my first thriller read, I was happy to revisit the same kind of writing from CoHo. Again, I was constantly thinking what’ll happen next, and kicking my feet and smiling at the romance at same time. I also like how this book sheds light on mental health in toxic relationships. I actually believe there should be trigger warnings on this one because of one specific event that happens in here. So this book follows Salís(boy) and Charlie (girl) who grew up together and whose families were close. They eventually started dating in high school and fall in love. They’re on the verge of a breakup because of their families feud that lands one of their dads in jail. In the middle of this big change, both wake up one day with no memory of who they are. So they take the risk and work together to try to remember who they themselves are, who the people in their lives are and to stop this cycle of waking up with no memory. They end up falling in love again while remembering and it’s the sweetest thing. The only thing I hated was… we never find out WHY. WHY tf does that happen to them and wtf did they do for it to happen to them. It never says… in neither books. That was the biggest thing for me and the only disappointment.

I’m actually mad about this. Now there’s a competition for which CoHo book was most disappointing (It Starts With Us being the other contender).
