It Starts with Us: A Novel (2) (It Ends with Us)

Before It Ends with Us, it started with Atlas. Colleen Hoover tells fan favorite Atlas’s side of the story and shares what comes next in this long-anticipated sequel to the “glorious and touching” (USA TODAY) #1 New York Times bestseller It Ends with Us.

Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date.

But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

This book has trigger warnings - Child neglect and abandonment - Domestic Abuse - Homelessness Colleen Hoover has made this story way better, and I mean it! It Starts with us literally made me love this story. when I finished It ends with us I really wasn't looking forward to continuing to story but I am a sucker for sequels I need a good ending. Well I needed to know what was going to happen between Lily and Atlas. Now I was obsessed with this book for giving me both Lily's and Atlas POV's, to the point where I just wanted the book to be about Atlas. Sorry not sorry :) I love that Colleen gave us what we wanted well at least what I wanted and answered my questions about who is Atlas and why should we care so much about him. In the first book I did thought that he was just going to be a side character to fill in some space. But knowing how It starts with us literally begins where it ends with us ended and I loved that. This book goes more into detail with Atlas and who he is along with who Atlas and Lily are and what they can become together. Lily's flower shop has been blooming ;) her shop is getting busier and well Atlas is also getting more successful. However it wouldn't be a sequel without Mr.Ryle. Ryle is not out of the story he is for sure still in the book and still annoying and frustrating, but there was at some points where I did feel bad for how Lily was treating him and how she was kind of in a way not really letting him see Emerson. but over all great book.

I absolutely loved this book. Matter of fact I loved the entire series. So I read It Ends With Us and feel in love with Lily’s story. When I finished the book I knew I need more from her. I needed to know what was next for Lily. I immediately began It Starts With Us. I’m happy Lily’s story ended the way it did, rightfully deserved. I love every minute of her and Atlas’ love story. So warm and beautiful.
