An amazing start to the series with a great story on its own that gets even better once you see all the breadcrumbs sprinkled so wonderfully and off-handedly throughout. Having read her more recent stuff I can tell this is her first, and while its great to see her grow its also amazing to see where it started (even if that start was a decade in the making)
I started reading this one as soon as I finished Throne of Glass. I really, really enjoyed this book! It moved along in a much quicker pace than the first book. I also really enjoyed all of the character development thus far. I feel that both Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight read a bit more on the YA side, compared to Assassins Blade, which I am currently reading. That being said, I am so happy I started reading this series! I used to read a lot when I was younger and this has definitely helped me jump right back into it! 10 out of 10, I would recommend this book!
Very quick read. A good mix of romance/dialogue/ action.
Excellent book, slower in the beginning but it’s setting up for an epic tale. I can’t wait to read this entire series.
this book was interesting to read as i basically knew the entire plot going into it. i read the prequel and really enjoyed it and got super invested and hoped for the same going into this book but i was very thrown off by the fact that the writers style was vastly different as the prequel was written much later. it makes sense but i was a little disappointed i felt more could’ve been done to make it more exciting, waiting for the series to pick up a little i need more badass lady assassins
