I'm on the fence about this one. Parts of it had me on the edge of my seat, a lot of it made me want to put my head through a wall. 2.5, but i'll round it up.
I'm a reverse review on this one. Unlike most other reviews, I liked the beginning and not the end. I was intrigued at first and guessed some of plot points. I was interested in the characters as well. But then things got silly and the writing simultaneously went downhill.
Would have been a 1 ⭐if not for the epilogue because that was entertaining.

It really took me 19 chapters, 42% of the book to get me into the book. It got mildly better but in the next few pages I was disinterested again.
First of all the writing was too confusing, who am I reading about? Secondly, there were just too many twists that would shame even a roller-coaster. I get it that it is a psychological thriller but because of all the plot changes the actual big plot twist didn't seem like anything big. It just made it too messy and uninteresting.
And my major issue with this book was that: it did not come with a trigger warning. Of course as the reader maybe it is my responsibility to read the plot and assume but it was not written in the excerpt either. Not at the start before the contents, not at the end after or before acknowledgments.
Annoyed that this was my 30th book and I achieved my reading goal this way but I'm sure there are many other better books out there.
