The Hunger Games Trilogy: The Hunger Games / Catching Fire / Mockingjay

Doesn’t get better then these books!

I love these books. A strong, humble female protagonist, a dystopian setting, a corrupt government, a love triangle; this story gives me everything.

I read the complete series one after another in the same month. Although the series started off as a similar setting for Battle Royale, I did enjoy the light read and plot. I enjoyed the first book the most and felt the story did not pick up a better momentum or depth by the third book. I was glad the story was over by the third book.

Great story line! Wish there was a bit more to the series, but it was a good, short series!

I generally enjoy longer series than trilogies. However, the ''Hunger Games'' series stands out with a satisfying plot, amazing cast of believable characters, and a terrifying setting, bringing together an epic tail that is both fun to follow and hard to put down. Forget about the ''Maze Runner'' and ''Divergent'' series because they are bad mimics of this unique story.
