The Happy Ever After Playlist

From the New York Times bestselling author of Part of Your World comes a romantic comedy full of "fierce humor and fiercer heart" about how one adorable puppy brings together two perfect strangers (Casey McQuiston, NYT bestselling author of Red, White & Royal Blue). Artist Sloan Monroe just can't seem to get her life on track. But one trouble-making pup who randomly jumps into her car with a "take me home" look in his eyes is about to change everything. With Tucker by her side, Sloan finally starts to feel more like herself. Then, after weeks of unanswered texts, Tucker's owner reaches out. He's a musician on tour in Australia. And bottom line: He wants Tucker back. Well, Sloan's not about to give up her dog without a fight. But what if this Jason guy really loves Tucker? As their flirty texts turn into long calls, Sloan can't deny a connection. Jason is hot and nice and funny. There's no telling what could happen when they meet in person. The question is: With his music career on the rise, how long will Jason really stick around? And is it possible for Sloan to survive another heartbreak?

Took me a long time to finish this book but I sure cried for this book a few times. It's a perfect example of what kind of love should people have. Something that stuck with me is that: relationships are compromises and sacrifices but do what your heart wants, even if that means throwing anything else aside.
Great book following The Friend Zone. I enjoyed this book because I needed to know that Sloan was okay after Brandon's tragic death.
I freaking loved this book so much! Definitely top of the list!
This book was such an unexpected good read. I loved the two main characters from the start - not your average romcom couple but real identities that feel like people you know in your own community. The book deals with grief and loss in a very real, raw way. And then of course loves swoops in and redeems the characters with renewed hope and growth. I loved every minute of this book and it honestly makes me want to take a trip to Minnesota just to see the lake views.
I really enjoyed reading this book because the author did a great job of keeping the reader's attention. The book revolved around love, death, change, and new beginnings. There was absolutely nothing in this book that I would change. I loved all the characters and how the ending played out.
