Content warning for violence, death, sexism, kidnapping, and related topics. I thought this book was good fun, an easy read. I've read some of their other work, and I for sure preferred those romances. This felt forced and out of nowhere, not to mention hard to believe. Maybe I just don't like the second chance romance? But the treasure hunt element was interesting. And the twist surprised me!

Such a fun book! I love adventure romances, this was like a mix of City Slickers and Romancing the Stone. 🙃

A book with an identity crisis. Romance? Mystery? Adventure? I don't know.

Delicious read/audible listen. Definitely a good one to put on during a road trip or read on a weekend when you need a mental vacation

This book was a bit of a struggle for me to get through. The last 100 pages were the most interesting, however I almost DNF’d this book twice prior to finishing. Overall, it was just okay for me.
