Lessons in Chemistry: A Novel

Six thirty is wonderful.

I listened to this on audible. I highly recommend it for a deeper experience. Fun characters, and our book club had a wonderful discussion about societal norms and women's rights over the years.

A great story about a female scientist set in the 1960s. Her challenges to overcome discrimination in the workplace and her grief over the loss of her husband resonated.

Loved this book so much!! I gave it a rating of 10/10.

The way this book was sold to me was definitely underrated. I truly enjoyed this book as the author was so creative with its characters to write such emotional aware and intellectual characters that face the limitations of their day but still remain such an true to themselves, honest and yet inspirational people (and dog). I think the author said it best in their description of this book being "a lesson in life and not in who we are or what we're made of, but rathe, who we're capable of becoming." This has become one my favorite books.
