This is such a good book literally changed my life and opened my eyes to the world. The gays stay winning!
One of the most beautiful love stories that I think about often.
I just finished the audio book narrated by Armie Hammer. For his voice alone, the book is superb. I could listen for days and never get tired of it. However, even without the narration, it's a beautiful story. It's obsessive, sexy, dreamy, and not something you would expect to connect to. But Elio is very relatable. I almost compared it to Lolita when I was describing it to a friend, but it's so much more than that. This is a true romance. The intimacy is startling.
I love this book.
The ending made me cry. It touched my feelings , so heartbreaking. But even though it made me cry like a baby, reading it made me feel as if I am a part of the story , it gave me a chance to see and feel Italy at that time period, I felt as if I was a part of a story and saw everything from my own eyes rather than read. This book is 100% better than a film.
