Plot twist :5 Reading pace: 6 Main character: Gianna :7/ Matteo :7 Writing quality: 6 § Ridden by guilt over having dragged innocent people into her world and overcome with hatred toward Matteo, Gianna is determined to make life hell for her husband. But Matteo is a master at mind games and their struggle for power soon turns into hate-fueled nights of passion . # overall it was a bite disappointing I think I had too higher expectations for and it just didn’t live up to the expectations I had in my head but it’s not a bad story ; Gianna was in some situations like extremely annoying but I overall loved their chemistry and Matteo’s absolute determination .

The sister that I praised so much in the first book is the best part about this book. I guess one thing that all Gianna's across the various mafia universes have is bravery (+10 brownie points if you get my reference!)

I was happy that I was reading about a girl who had a backbone, who stood up to the derogatory mafia pot bellied, predatory, pissy uncles males, who ran away and managed to stay afloat for months before she was caught into the prison again. No words for Matteo because he thought this cockiness is his beauty but all I wanted him to do was to get lost.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to be a part of this series' mafia world. All the guys in this series care about the blood after they deflower their wives and then think about how can they find another woman because they don't feel satisfied, the double standards are ridiculous.

This series is proving to be one of the worst of mafia I've ever read so far but I'm reading it for entertainment. And that is the only thing this series is doing well.
