This book was soooo amazing. (loved it)
"Before I Let Go” is the first book read in 2023 and what a great read! This book has a bit of everything. Happiness, growth, love, sex, and loss. This book hits hard, the emotions so raw. Real life put into perspective, that’s why I loved this book so much.
I loved Yasmen and her story, a strong woman that held it together too well until she fell apart.
Josiah is a man that does not process emotions but throws himself into work.
Two people who were meant to be together fell apart. I saw myself and my life in these characters.
(I 100% cried reading this book)
I truly enjoyed reading this book! I love reading about Black love and this was exactly what I was looking for! You read about love, loss, depression and the way our community struggles with seeking therapy. I can't wait to read the next book :)
Beautiful book! This book is from the perspective of a beautiful black woman who is also a mother and partner. She's navigating through mental illness, tragic loss, and identity. She has a beautiful support system to help her on a journey. This book makes you want to turn the pages so quickly to see how she ends her story!
I simply loved everything about this book. Relatable, spicy, funny, dramatic...the whole package.
