Rachel Lynn Solomon's romcoms are sublime. Nails the tropes without being cliche, and balances cute funny moments with very grounded characters and deals well with sensitive subject matter - like making depression a central focus of a romcom.
everything was so cute, and i loved the depth of the mental issues and insecurities
Cute rom-com, heavy on real life issues such as depression, lighter on the chemistry of FMC and MMC
This was adorable!

Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon

There were so many amazing things about this book. First off how cute is the cover of this book! I mean a round of applause for that!
Second, this is the first romance book I’ve read that I can remember to have a plus-sized male love interest. And I loved him! He was such a sweetheart and I just melted when him and Ari interacted with each other. They were just so cute together. He had his insecurities but they went away with Ari. I don’t want to give away too much but I will say that I love that he is a family man.
Third, we deal with depression in the book. Which I feel like is a tricky topic to cover in a genre that is supposed to be really light. The author did an amazing job making Ari (her depression) genuine and relatable. I loved Ari’s personality! She is the happy person who has some cute quirks. She loves her job and her family. Speaking of family this book also talks about family dynamics and how depression can affect it.
Overall this book was so fun to read. I loved all the characters and the romance between Ari and Russell was so cute! Also if you loved The Parent Trap you will love this book!
