Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow: A novel

Sam and Sadie—two college friends, often in love, but never lovers—become creative partners in a dazzling and intricately imagined world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality. When you mix friendship with business. College gamers become successful very young and how it impacts the rest of their life.
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin really does a fantastic job bringing a non-gamer into a game creator's world. I had no problem following this story despite that it was out of my element because she portrayed the process with such finesse while developing intriguingly unique and emotionally traumatized and somewhat stunted characters. There is a plethora of pop culture references to literature, mythology, language and games from the 90s era all the way back to Shakespeare. I loved these little nuggets and love taking the ride on the journey through this eventful and easy to read tale.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and following the characters as they grew and their lives intertwined.
Clearly redefines what love and connection mean within the context romance, friendship and all the blurred lines in-between over the course of decades. Funny, poignant, and thought provoking - a must read for lovers of video games and realism.
Really good! I was surprised to like a book that wasn’t SMUT and was about something I have no interest in- video games. I couldn’t put it down!
