The Second Life of Mirielle West: A Haunting Historical Novel Perfect for Book Clubs

I read the paperback and listened to the audio book. The audio book was decent, but many mispronounced words (regional terms, cities, etc). Very slow start, but when the action picked up, it was a decent story. Nice character development. Enjoyed the accuracy of the historical background.

Very cool learning about leprosy. The main character did annoy me a bit though.

I still think about this book. I struggled to get through it and was happy I did. It was a book that put me in a reading slump but, encouraged me to pick up another one once I finished

This book was not at all what I expected! A very interesting piece of historical fiction, written in a wonderful storyline! I will be recommending this book!
