Fairly interesting in the first half, but some of the story lines were a bit odd, and I found the main character annoying in places. But overall a decent read.
Loved the historical backdrop and exploration of words and gender. Many of the characters were not well defined and storyline drags in place but picks up from about halfway. A worthwhile read
