The Allegory of the Cave

I had forgotten how much more there was to this than just the metaphor of "knowledge" we always recall. There's so much here about our responsibility to those in the cave (I mean, perhaps I'm in the cave myself but I like to assume most of you on Goodreads are the outside the cave folks). It particularly struck a chord during this phase of covid when one might say that those in the cave are dying because of their inability to see out. Just as useful and instructive today as it was 2400 years ago.
