As I mentioned in the last installment of Turtle Tuesday, it has been fun to read these comics and see how much was used for inspiration for the original 80s cartoon that many of us loved, as well as to see the differences. The second issue in this series doesn't disappoint. Here we have the introduction of our favorite reporter, April O'Neil; our favorite mad scientist, Baxter Stockman; and our favorite creepy rodent devouring tech, the mousers.
The comic itself, much like the first one, is very fast paced and the story is very familiar to anyone with a working knowledge of the Turtles. The mousers still attack Splinter, but not on the Shredder's orders, and Baxter is Hell bent on holding NYC for ransom by using his mousers to destroy buildings and rob banks. Thankfully a little Turtle Power comes into play, along with Donnie and April's mad tech skills, and stops Baxter in his tracks, but not before Splinter gets the sharp end of a few mouser teeth!
Be sure to check this one out Turtle Fans! You won't be disappointed!
