---Get into the story and all the worldbuilding; it's worth it!---
Elizabeth Stephens caught my attention while reading her short story in the 'Claimed Among the Stars: A Sci-Fi Romance Charity Anthology.' I knew I had to read more, and she did not disappoint.
Although it takes some getting used to the made-up 'alien' words and their world, such as the titles they use and who's in charge of whom, etc., I think it's absolutely worth it.
I loved this book in particular because of the scarring background that these humans have with the few aliens they've met thus far, which makes the relationship between the FMC Miari to the MMC Raku extra tricky in the beginning.
I love how Stephens sprinkles interesting things about so many characters and their worlds or planets. Be it a tease for the next book or not, it makes for a very interesting read.
