I've been reading through the first 4 classic Goosebumps tales for my book club this month. I have to say, it has been a lot of fun to revisit some of these stories! With "Stay out of the Basement" I didn't realize how it actually has the potential to be quite creepy. The entire time I was listening to this audio version I kept thinking to myself that this would make an excellent "adult" horror novel or movie. All that would be needed would be some added botany mumbo-jumbo, more adult characters, and to ramp up the scary and the monster and this would be quite terrifying.
All said and done though, I forgot how much I enjoyed Goosebumps. I will definitely be listening/reading more of these now that I have easier access to them.
