I love historical romances set in America and this book was a refreshing change from all the Dukes and Earls that saturate the current historical romance market.
Daisy and Theo's story was a slow burn and it took them a while to find something more in common than wanting out of their parents' arrangement. I liked that Daisy was determined to find her way with or without Theo. She didn't want to be saved, she wanted to save herself. They balanced each other out and were able to be true partners.
Maya Rodale's books are pretty solid and I can always count on them to be an entertaining distraction from real life. Some Like it Scandalous was a nice escape for me.
