Room: A Novel

Held captive for years in a small shed, a woman and her precocious young son finally gain their freedom, and the boy experiences the outside world for the first time. Room is a tale at once shocking, riveting, exhilarating -- a story of unconquerable love in harrowing circumstances, and of the diamond-hard bond between a mother and her child.

Extremely different novel--couldn't put it down. Really made you think. I would highly recommend this book.
Extremely hard to read as a mother and yet I had to finish and find out how it ended. Emotional to say the least
I liked it, I'm just not sure why I spent time reading it? Like how has my life expanded from it? I might be becoming an increasingly hard critic these days, and I don't like it.
the resilience of human beings, in this case: a woman and her child. truly powerful.
Tense. Imaginative. So much underlying subtext. The narration is perfect for this story. Seeing everything through Jack’s eyes made a horrific topic easier to swallow. Jack is a wonder and Ma is a fighter. The detail that went into Jack’s narration is astonishing.
