tbh was expecting better; def steamier than the other ones I’ve read (Ryen be a freak); best friends to enemies to lovers is chaotic but cute; fake identity kinda got confusing; apparently it’s like the 3rd in a series didn’t know that lol

the only reason I'm giving this one star is because Misha is hot but I hate him

This book conflicted me but I don’t regret it. Penelope Douglas presents an important topic almost all of us have to face when we put ourselves out in the world: trying to make oneself pleasant to others. I appreciated that she added an author's note explaining the characters' behavior to the readers. Ryen and Masen fight, flirt, get into some trouble throughout the book but end up trying to rectify their own faults. It's fun to read and we have a good lot to learn from it.
