Michael McDowell's Blackwater VI: Rain

My gosh, this series was so enjoyable, each book better than the last. As far as this particular book was concerned, it did a great job of tying up everything and ending the series in a subtle but powerful way. The entire thing is so well written that I felt like I knew these people, their lives. The story and the writing were so immersive that reading it felt insanely gratifying at every turn. This series is a must read. I had such a great time with it that I will be hunting down physical copies to add to my shelf. It is spooky, heartwarming, emotional and all around, good.
