Because nothing makes a white-man-owned publishing company harder than the white savior trope, they sometimes send one of their writers on a quest to convert ignorant natives to the one true belief: Britain Rules All. In this episode, the hapless victims are a Kakapo parrot, White rhino, Baiju dolphin, and Komodo dragon. Decades of indigenous efforts to preserve these species are quickly passed over to make room for jokes about a white mans zany adventures looking for a decent hotel room. The punchline of most jokes involve a native treating his white messiah as something other than the next coming of Jesus Christ. The endangered animals obvious preference to be left the hell alone is sacrificed for the “noble” cause of “raising awareness” among wealthy white people. They’re tagged, they’re monitored, they’re studied. Are they having enough sex? In most cases, they are not. Maybe they prefer privacy.
