Not what I expected but it did not disappoint. I loved reading it and it was really fun to see how they tried to make science and explain how what they saw as they journeyed down into the earth was possible. It definitely kept me entertained and I see why it's earned a place among the books that continue to be read. I could really relate with the nephew and caught myself thinking the whole time about how I would react in his shoes. Definitely worth a read.
