Joe Cinque's Consolation: A True Story of Death, Grief and the Law

Brilliant writing from Helen garner. The story and the characters will stay with me for a long while. Definitely raised a lot of questions for me around justice, mental health and whether evil acts mean evil people. I haven’t come to any conclusions around this but definitely very affected by Anu Singh and surprised by my utter lack of empathy for her. A truly horrendous series of acts which have changed the lives of many people, including Anu, but most importantly ended the life of Joe Cinque.
