I was really enjoying this book until I reached the middle. Around this time they both recognized their feelings, wanted to end the NDA and try at a relationship. Well Farrah’s demands put my hackles up because I felt it was all around unfair to Gage. In order to be in a relationship with her, not only did he have to accept her kids which is understandable but he’s pretty much forced to make amends with his parents even if he wasn’t the one at fault.
Maybe that’s not a big deal to some but at least ease him into the idea. He only talked to her about his parents once so the next time his parents is brought up, it’s required they’re on good terms in order for them to continue their relationship. Why?
I don’t know… it just didn’t sit right with me. Instead of a natural makeup between him & his father.. it’s because he only wanted to be with her.
On top of that she wanted him to step back from work which is something she loved about him. Again why?
Outside of that hiccup, more natural easy interaction between him & her kids would have been great to experience. Yes he bought things for them to show interest but what about quality time to grow their relationship?
