Theres so much action packed adventure in the fever series. You also get a tad bit of steam and lust in this one. Plus the magical fantasy world of the fae. Mac and Barrons are back to kicking Fae butt in this second installment of the fever series! Police pressure is on MacKayla because they suspect her of killing the detective on her sisters case which she is annoyed about. They are wasting their time on her and not focusing on her sisters case. She's still out for vengeance for her sisters murder. She learns of a new threat to sidhe seers like her "the hunters". And an old threat that she assumed was dead makes a reappearance to kidnap and torture her to death. Barron's of course saves her life again and they end up sharing a steamy kiss! It ends with her finally figuring out where the sinsar dubh is.
