Nostalgic, but reading this as an adult has opened my eyes to the authors' choice of words. Having a POC female character hands described as "paws" has taken away the innocents out for me.
I didn't catch that as a young adolescent.
It didn't transport me away like it used to.

absolutely adored the book! the plot is interesting, the little stories in each chapter are fun, and it feels like you are in the book. definitely worth the read.
