American Psycho (Vintage Contemporaries)

I know it's basically a dark American classic, but I just couldn't get into it. The long, run-on sentences and constant description of character clothing became tedious. I did enjoy the conversation between friends and watching Patrick Bateman's character devolve into something darker and more violent as the story went on, but there was only one redeeming character in the entire book, and that was his secretary. This just wasn't for me.
