An average man working an average job with an average life is looking for his perfect match. Except that he's also a serial killer.
This was gross, visceral, yet at times laugh out loud funny. It was like a car accident - you can't look away. And although I did anticipate the ending, it didn't take away any satisfaction from it.

What the actual fuck did I read? I asked this question about thirty times while reading 100% Match. Typically I talk to my husband about the books I read, but this one, I couldn't find the words to repeat it without sounding as disgusting as this book. Needless to say, I absolutely, thoroughly, unquestionably enjoyed this novella.
Bartholomew Bartly is probably the most depraved character I've read in a while, mainly because he is written in a way that his actions are to be presented as normal. The things he does are so vile it left me cringing. Boy, was it good, though. The ending was not as shocking as the rest of the book, however. I think I've read too many snuff film plots to satisfy that hunger for a while.
Be warned! Be careful when going to a fast food joint and ordering chili or a burger. I read this after a weekend vacation where we ate nothing but fast food... and it made me sick to my stomach. It was great.
