This November, Bookclubz is giving back in partnership with Worldreader. Worldreader is a global non-profit organization dedicated to helping children enjoy better learning outcomes, more opportunities, and healthier, more prosperous lives through reading.
Worldreader places a library of relevant books in the hands of those who need them, using cell phones, e-readers and tablets. Then, they work with schools and partners to help parents, teachers, librarians, and local communities acquire the knowledge and skills needed to use that digital technology.
Since 2010, they’ve provided access to digital books to over 18 million readers in 48 countries. Those readers have read 66,597,490 books.
We believe that Worldreader’s work is building a better world. Help boost Bookclubz’ donation level and their impact by participating in our social campaign! It’s easy. Here’s all you need to do:
- Post a picture of your book club gathering. The post can be a photo or a video! Tell us about your Book Club and how you use Bookclubz via Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn. We love hearing club success stories!
- Tag the account below that matches your social, and include the hashtag #BookclubzGives:
Instagram: @bookclub.z
TikTok: @bookclub.z
Facebook: Bookclubz
Twitter: @bookclubz1
- For every post, we’ll donate one dollar to Worldreader. Post all month long!
- On November 30th, we’ll make a donation based on the number of posts throughout the month.
Reading together is already a charitable act! Your posts will increase our visibility through social media — a vital need for a startup like us. Sharing your book club moments can spread the joy and connection that reading together fosters. You might inspire new book clubs to form!
Keep posting until the end of the month. On November 30th, Giving Tuesday, we’ll make our total donation to Worldreader and report back on the impact we’ve made together via @bookclub.z.
We’re incredibly grateful for you and your support. Thank you! Read on to learn more about Worldreader and their impact!

Sajna Eight-year-old Sajna from rural India cannot go to a formal school. That’s because during regular school hours Sajna must stay home to do chores and support her family.
The wonderful news is that Sajna is still learning.
Only it's happening at night time. . . when most children might be getting ready for bed.
Instead, Sajna and her friends gather around a lantern in the dark.
At night school, Sajna can forget about her tiresome day, and feel her age again – spending precious moments reading and learning so that she has a chance at a brighter future.
Worldreader brings Sajna's night school a library of books on tablets to Keep Children Reading!
Too often, children like Sajna are kept from the education they deserve because they aren't able to go to school. Luckily, these night schools are making it possible for these children to keep learning.
But there are night schools out there without enough books to support the children.
Your donation can help Worldreader bring digital books to more children like Sajna, so they can have the best chance at a brighter future. |

Hillary "Without reading, I can’t achieve my goals in life. I'm happiest when I'm reading. I spend my free time at the library because it makes me feel good. I also think reading has improved my English!"
Enthusiastic reader Hillary from Kenya knows how important reading is to his future and the futures of other children.
Worldreader knows it, too, which is why they have worked to support 19 million readers and counting.
Hillary’s biggest ambition is to become a neurosurgeon who serves his local community.
He knows that his love of reading will provide a critical foundation as he works toward his dream, but in small villages like his, getting books isn’t always easy.
Thanks to incredible supporters, Worldreader is able to give Hilary access to the books he needs to learn more today and set him up for success tomorrow. |

Saori This is seven-year-old Saori. She lives in a small town 80 miles outside of Lima, Peru.
Here, she reads at her home while her school remains closed due to the pandemic.
At the height of the crisis, 1.5 billion children were impacted by school disruptions and closures.
Without books at home, it would have been impossible for Saori and her classmates to continue learning.
Thankfully they all received access to Worldreader’s digital library and can continue reading, learning, and dreaming. |
